How often do you want to say something but you don’t know how to explain it into written words? It is important to know everything is a challenge. If you want to write some letters to your crush or to pass an exam, you have to read this! You are not alone, in this blog we’re going to tell you how to improve this skill.

#1 Choose a topic

This topic can be specifically a topic which you are interested in or a topic from your school.

You have a lot of freedom to choose the ideal topic for you, if you want to write a love letter, a letter to your best friend, a letter to your mother or father, etc.

#2 Be specific

Try to be specific and write exactly what you need to write because people usually say a lot of things with nonsense and it will make the text too difficult to understand so in this case you should avoid the ambiguity which is the next step.

#3 Ambiguous sentences

An ambiguous sentence is a sentence that can be interpreted in two or more different ways, or it is not clear what it is referring to. It’s important to distinguish who is the main character or subject in our sentence. It must have sense in all the aspects.

#4 Avoid repetition

When you check your text is also important to be careful, maybe we are so excited and we want to describe something in many ways, in 10000 ways, however, you have to check every word you are writing at the moment to write the text, the story or the paragraph. You should attempt to check word by word or text by text when you finish, be focused on the spelling, in the grammar or the structure, punctuation, etc.

#5 Tenses

Every language has a rule and English is easier to understand why something changes or why it is conjugated in a certain way, well, some people are used to write like they hear or speak but in the real life is different, if a person is talking about the past, you have to continue talking about the past because structure shows me in which tense I am talking about.

Tell us, what is the most difficult part when you are writing a story? Remember, we can help you at Inglés Individual!
