Who is Siddhartha?
Jorge Siddhartha González Ibarra, better known as Siddhartha, is a soloist rock musician based in Mexico. Siddhartha began his solo career after being the former drummer of Zoé. He has recorded four albums: Why You?, Náufrago (Castaway), El Vuelo Del Pez (Flight of fish), Únicos (uniques), and Memoria Futuro (Memory of future).
Jorge Siddhartha has a long musical trajectory, he has contributed and worked with other artists like Zoé, playing the drums in “The Room” tour, now he is producer of Technicolor Fabrics.
Siddhartha became one of the most promising artists in Mexico´s music scene just after releasing his first album Why You?, in a casual and independent way since 2008.
Facts of Siddhartha:
- Winner at the Indie-o Music Awards for the category of Best Solo Artist Album.
- He was nominated for the Best Rock Solo Vocal Album Latin Grammy.Marvin, Rolling Stone, Sonika and Circulo Mixup.
- He was named one of the best productions of the year by music magazines like Warp.
- He was invited to participate in the tribute album for the Chilean serie “31 minutos” (31 minutes) with the song “Mi castillo de Blanca Arena” as the single for this album.
Live album:
Siddhartha has an special live album called “al aire” this album was recorded in December 14th 2018 in Mexico city with an audience of 3 thousand people. The concert was a total sold out.
